If you just street drive the car, set the height where you want it, then get it aligned. You don't notice a proper corner balance during normal everyday driving. If you track a lot, set the height roughly where you want it (more to save the tech's time), get it corner balanced, then aligned. A good corner balance makes a good bit of difference on track. Obviously the more it is at the start the bigger difference you'll feel. But on a purely street driven car, I'd probably save the $300. IMHO
